The course 'Challenges of Sustainable Development in Poland ' has been held since 1998. The basic aim of the course is to spread the idea of sustainable development in Poland and raise social awareness of ecological issues. It is organized mainly by the Sendzimir Foundation in full cooperation with the University of Florida , the University of Science and Technology in Cracow and the Polish Environmental Partnership Foundation.
This web service has been made for potential participants with the aim of sketching out a picture
of the three-week workshops with their programme and realm. Apart from that, this website is to serve the participants of the previous editions as a discussion forum giving opportunity to exchange ideas and communicate with one another.
The aim is to create an appropriate basis for cooperation and coordination of activities as well as affording possibilities for public presentations of both effects of these efforts and state of particular projects.
You are kindly invited to read our web service. We shall be grateful for any remarks and comments concerning its contents and for any suggestions on changes or improvements.
In the section "Instructors" there is a list of the people who have given lectures so far; profiles of the major instructors have been put there as well. The section "Edition 2007" gives information on the next edition of the course and the way to apply for it. The section "Programme" contains a detailed description of the course programme . Besides the lecture themes, other activities such as exercises, seminars, projects, field trips and appointments are described and a file containing the last year's programme in full is to be found there. The section "Location" describes the conference centre where the course is held including all the information on its location and explaining how to get there. The section"Participants" presents the people who took part in the previous editions, soon together with their opinions on the course. In the section "Materials" you can find some reports formed during the previous editions of the course and some articles written by former participants. On this site you can as well find the photo gallery from the course. "Other courses" gives the information about other courses and workshops organized or co-organized by The Sendzimir Foundation.
