E-learning course
We would like to invite you to take part in our two-step e-learning course, taken in English. Even if it is e-learning course, it will be intensive and interactive. Participants will be under constant supervision of tutors. They will also contact them via e-mail and chat-sessions.
1st step course:
Introduction to Sustainable Development
(10 - 25.03.2012 r.)

ATTENTION If you are interested only in e-learning course, please fill proper option in the registration form. Candidates interested in both, e-learning course and the Summer Academy, should apply only once.
For whom? For students, teachers, local governments fellows, organizations and institutions that deal with sustainability on local and regional level in Poland, Central-Eastern Europe and the Baltic Sea Region.
Goal of this course: To obtain basic knowledge about sustainable development, its theorethical fundaments, vocabulary and most important trends. Introduction to ecosystem services issues.
Participation is free of charge. Acces to the Internet is required. This course ends with a test and a paper on one of given topics. People who will pass this course with positive results, will obtain a certificate signed by Sendzimir Foundation.
The best graduates of this course (approx. 60 people) will have the opportunity to participate in the 2nd step of the e-learning course.
2nd step course:
Applications of sustainable development
(2.04 – 6.05. 2012 r.)
For whom? For people who will succesfully finish the 1st step course: Introduction to sustainable development.
Goals of this course: To obtain knowledge about the sustainable development and ecosystem services. To obtain or develop skills in transforming theoretical knowledge into practice. Introduction to hands-on aspects of the sustainable development, particularly its implementation into local communities, organizations and institutions, presentation of recent scientific advances in this field, tools and good practices from Poland and abroad. This course is a continuation of the first-step course. It supplements and enriches it.
This course will finish with a certificate signed by the Sendzimir Foundation. Participation is free of charge.
The best graduates of the e-learning course will have the opportunity to participate (free of charge) in the 15th Summer Academy Challenges of Sustainable Development (8-28.07.2012).
