The goals of the project / results achieved:

  • Spreading the general information about SD issues throughout the Republic of Moldova by carrying out an informational campaign - 42 pupils and 17 teachers from  25 schools throughout Moldova are informed about sustainable development consepts, ideas, and theories; are engaged in activities related to spreading the ideas of sustainability (500 full-colored leaflets and 200 handouts are distributed in the target audience); the information about the republican sustainability contest as an all-Moldavian educational event is reflected on the official web-site of the International School Project for Application for Resourses and Energy (SPARE) and the article is expected at the beginning of March in the youth newspaper “Gutta” (the newspaper of the youth ecological centre “Gutta-club”, Moldova).
  • Awaking interest to sustainability concepts and attracting the young generation of Moldova by organizing a republican school contest between Moldavian pupils in the field of SD – the All-Moldavian School Sustainability Contest has carried out for 42 pupils and 17 teachers from  25 schools throughout Moldova;
  • Showing the opportunities of the further education in the field of SD to Moldavian youth by providing a set of informational materials about SD educational international programs to each participant of the republican school contest – the set of handouts with information about distance-learning courses related to SD issues is dis tributed through the contest participants;
  • Shifting the priorities in the Moldavian school educational programs on ecology and environmental protection by raising awareness of school biology and ecology teachers in SD – the seminar about the alternative vision of possible approaches to ecology teaching in schools is presented to teachers and other representatives from 25 Moldavian schools.
